The Humber Energy Board brings together the companies and organisations that help to power the country and drive the future of energy in the Humber. Our members represent the full breadth of the region’s energy ecosystem, from offshore wind and hydrogen to carbon capture, natural gas processing, refining, power generation, transmission systems and advanced fuels.
Together, we work to protect and grow the industries that sustain thousands of jobs across the region, attract private investment, and position the Humber as a place where business, energy security and economic growth go hand in hand.
The Board acts as a single, united voice for the Humber’s energy sector. We advocate for the region to government and policymakers, promote its projects to unlock its full potential, co-ordinate across industry to remove barriers to investment, and champion the people and places that make the Humber the UK’s most important energy region.
Our work spans across the entire energy sector but has three current priority areas: carbon capture and storage; hydrogen production, usage, transport and storage; and offshore wind and renewables. We also focus on the cross-cutting challenges of infrastructure, skills, resources such as water and finance that underpin delivery across all of them.
