Commissioned by the Humber Energy Board, and produced by global business management consultancy Baringa, The Case for the Humber Industrial Cluster sets out the Humber region’s critical role in the UK’s industrial, economic and energy future.
The report highlights four areas where prioritising the Humber can deliver national impact: safeguarding industrial and energy security, unlocking transformational economic growth, accelerating progress towards net zero, and creating lasting opportunities for people and places.
With the Humber region contributing £27bn to the UK economy every year, and private sector companies prepared to invest up to £44bn in decarbonisation over the next 20 years, the report demonstrates both the scale of the opportunity and the importance of timely action.
